We had an idyllic room, very clean, overlooking the river and the mountains. It's a very quiet and green environment and there are lots of things to visit in the neighbourhood. The staff was really nice and helpful! They gave advice about what to visit, which activities to combine, ... If you come here without your own transportation, the hotel offers you rides against very low prices. Maybe a tip if you come by train: don't get off at Kanchanaburi station and pay an expensive taxi, get off at Wang Pho station, it's only 5 minutes from Saiyok River House ;)

the location of the hotel was good and rather scenic. beautiful part of Thailand.
the facilities and accomodation were rather poor and basic. irregular supply of water to the rooms. communication with staff in English very difficult. dinner/breakfast options very limited and of poor quality.

Very well located by the river Kwai, quite nice place.
a) Short on staff, b) no control on rain insects, specially during dinner times, swarms of insects attracted towards light,

The river view at this hotel was breathtaking, and the jungle setting was lovely. It’s a great location for couples looking for a romantic escape. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and they tried their best to overcome the language barrier. We were able to enjoy the tranquillity of the quiet and isolated location, while still being close enough to local attractions like elephant camps and national parks.
The room quality at this hotel was poor and disappointing. The bedding wasn’t clean or comfortable, and there were a lot of dead insects in the insect netting.

It is quiet and the view to the river is beautiful. The food was good too.
The service is lousy, it is very remote, the rooms are not great and there is not a full bar. Someone got up at 7.30 on a Sunday and turned on Thai TV in the dining area so loud it woke up both me and my friend. As we were apparently the only guests, we assumed it was doine deliberately so that the cook could get breakfast over with. Annoying.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming hotel nestled in the heart of nature. The hotel provided outstanding value for money with its affordable prices and attention to detail. The location, right by the river, offers a breathtaking view that truly enhances the overall experience. Additionally, the staff at this hotel were incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
While there were a few minor issues, all in all, my experience at this hotel was excellent.

We had an exceptional experience at a lovely jungle retreat. Our bamboo house was surrounded by nature, offering a unique and amazing stay. The river view from the dining room was simply breathtaking. We enjoyed the refreshing swimming pool and took advantage of the free bicycle riding. Every house had its own bathroom, providing privacy and convenience. Despite a few minor setbacks, this hotel is still highly recommended. a memorable and enjoyable stay!

We also appreciated being situated by the river as it provided a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel facilities were clean and well taken care of, and the addition of parking made it convenient for us. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Absolutely nothing.

The hotel looked rustic and had some charming surroundings. It was located near a river and an elephant park, which made for nice views. the staff were friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the cold pool and the fact that breakfast was included in the price. the rooms, although small, had air conditioning which was a plus.
the hotel was not very clean and we had issues with insects and dirty bathrooms.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in several ways. the value for money was exceptional - the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the attention to detail throughout the property. Secondly, the location right by the river was truly picturesque, offering beautiful views and a serene atmosphere. Thirdly, the staff provided excellent service and went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable. Lastly, the basic amenities in the rooms, including the AC and the breakfast, were of top-notch quality, making my stay enjoyable.
All aspects of my stay at this hotel were superb.
